Hematology T32 Training Grant Trainee Application Instructions

We are soliciting applications for postdoc candidates from Stanford laboratories for our T32 grant from the NHLBI to support postdoctoral training in hematology. We are looking for MD or PhD postdoctoral fellows with strong training and who are working in one of the core areas relevant to the T32.

These are:

1. Hematopoiesis and stem cell biology

2. Thrombosis and vascular biology

3. Immunology and immunotherapy

Eligibility includes:

1. US Citizenship or green card

2. MD, PhD or MD/PhD

3. Postdoc status

4. No more than two previous years of NRSA postdoctoral funding

Acceptance of award will require attendance and presentation at the Hematology/Oncology Retreat at Asilomar. This retreat might be done virtually this year, in which case online attendance and presentation would be expected.

Application process. Please send the applicant’s CV, a one-page research plan for the postdoctoral training period, and a one-page recommendation letter from the faculty mentor. The CV should include previous publications and previous funding sources. Appointment to the T32 will be based on relevance to one of the core subject areas above, likelihood to generate first author published manuscripts, and likelihood of developing a future independent research program in academia. The deadline for receiving the application is Friday, March 17th, 2023. Please send it to Dashiell Corbett (dashiellcorbett@stanford.edu) as a single PDF.

Appointments will be for one year, starting July 1, 2023, and potentially renewable for a second year if sufficient progress is demonstrated.

Thank you very much for participating in this important program.
